ICFAI accused of trademark infringement

ImageThe Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) from Hyderabad has been accused by the US CFA of trademark infringement .

CFA accused ICFA of unfair competition and trademark infringement because ICFA has used the "CFA" trademark in US .Moreover,they were asked not to use the "CFA" trademark in the US and Canada and to pay $1 million .
However,the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India wants to go further and appeal .
"We are not going to sit tight on the matter. We will file an appeal on this in the court.”,said an ICFAI team member .
According to an article from www.business-standard.com the CFA has also a legal battle with the All India Council for Technical Education.The case is still pending .
