All started in 2003,when Fujitsu applied for the iPad trademark.Meanwhile ,in early 2009 the United States Patent and Trademark Office declared that the Tokyo-based organization has abandoned the iPad trademark.
However,it seems that Fujitsu wants its old trademark back.
Masahiro Yamane, director of Fujitsu’s public relations division,said to the New York Times that "It’s our understanding that the name is ours.”
All in all,Fujitsu has a pending trademark on the iPad name,while Apple's got nothing for now.
